Whether you want to lighten your skin or get rid or impurities trapped in your skin pores, homemade facial masks and peels are the best solution. Most people refer to chemical peels, when they hear facial peels, but chemical peals can cause damage on the skin when used on a frequent basis. It can also be pretty expensive.

So I did some research and found a list of some really good DIY facial peel mask , that are easy to make, inexpensive and less harmful to the skin, which will leave your skin feeling flawless and brighter in no time.


Benefits of Facial Peels
  • They help in improving texture of the skin by cleaning the pores and moisturizing it.
  • They also fight acne , by exfoliating dead skin cells that tend to clog pores.
  • They also remove excess oil from skin to prevent pimples and acne.The fruit facial peels aids in lightening and brightening the face and any scars due to the action of the antioxidants in it.


Now Lets move on to the recipes shall we?


Recipes for Homemade Facial Peels



1. Lemon Orange Facial Peel - For A Glowing Skin


Directions : Make a thick paste by adding the juice of one full lemon, one orange and a small packet of gelatin in a bowl. Heat the mixture until the ingredients dissolves to fom a thick paste. Place the the bowl in the refrigerator to coll completely . Then beat one egg yolk and add it to the mixture

Clean your face and neck and apply the mixture evenly on your skin. Let it stay on for 30 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
2. Tomato Facial Peel - To combat dry, damaged skin and remove suntan

Directions : Take one ripe tomato and blend it to make a thick paste. 


Apply the paste on your skin and leave it for 25-30 minutes. Wash off with cold water to reveal glowing skin. Use this facial peel, 2 -3 times a week to reduce skin damage.
3. Tropical Fruit Peel- For smooth skin

Directions : You will need 1/4 cup papaya pulp. 1/2 cup pineapple pulp and 2 teaspoon of honey to make the facial peel. Mix all the ingredients together.


Apply it on the skin and wash with cold water after 30 minutes to get a radiant skin.


The antioxidants present in fruits help in repairing the skin and provides a smooth texture  and long lasting glow to it.



4. Avocado and Honey Peel - For Deep Moisturizing and Scar Removal 


Directions : Mix one mashed avocado with 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 beaten egg whites.


Apply the paste on your face and neck and leave it on until dry. Wash with cold water and pat dry your skin.


The egg whites and honey moisturizes the skin while the mashed avocado helps in fading away scars and hyper pigmentation, thereby providing an even texture to the skin.
5. Gelatin Orange Peel - To Restore Ph of the skin


Directions : Heat a small packet of unflavored gelatin and add pulp of one tomato and two tablespoon of orange juice to it. Mix well until all the ingredients dissolve. Cool the mixture.

Apply it on the skin for 20-25 before rinsing off with cold water. 

The ingredients used in this helps in maintaining ph balance of the skin while cleaning it gently.





& Last but not the Least 

6. Egg Yolk Facial Peel - For Skin Repair
Directions: Beat an egg yolk and to it add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and one tablespoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients with a packet of unflavored gelatin to form a fine paste. 

Apply it on your skin and wait for it to be completely dry. Wash with cold water afterwards.

Lemon exfoliates the skin while the honey and egg yolk help in moisturizing and nourishing the skin to promote skin repair.
